HAPPY EARTH DAY! To commemorate Earth Day, I chose to share my research of genetically engineered/modified (GM) foods as a tribute to the social and environmental issues that are affecting our precious planet. Also, since the public is confused about the controversy of GM foods and its adverse effects as it has been downplayed and fabricated by the Canadian government and the mass media, I felt that it is necessary to present empirical facts to the readers about this issue and let you critically evaluate it. This is a shortened version of my research of GM foods. The longer version was submitted to UBC; therefore, the facts presented here come from peer reviewed articles as it was a university paper.
