As the age of the baby boomers increase, so does the rate of marijuana usage among seniors. Most baby boomers don’t have the ‘Reefer Madness’ mentality that older seniors often have. As the boomers age even further, rates of marijuana use among seniors is expected to increase substantially over the coming years. Already, marijuana use among seniors aged 55-59 has more than tripled in the last 8 years, from 1.6% in 2002 to 5.1% today.
