As the age of the baby boomers increase, so does the rate of marijuana usage among seniors. Most baby boomers don’t have the ‘Reefer Madness’ mentality that older seniors often have. As the boomers age even further, rates of marijuana use among seniors is expected to increase substantially over the coming years. Already, marijuana use among seniors aged 55-59 has more than tripled in the last 8 years, from 1.6% in 2002 to 5.1% today.

Alex Bilodeau has won Canada’s first gold medal of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and Canada’s first gold medal on home soil in Canadian history!

In a very competitive event, men’s moguls, Alex stole the show by upsetting the Australian Dale Begg-Smith, a former Vancouverite, to take the top spot.  Two other Canadians, Vincent Marquis, and Pierre-Alexandre Rousseau, finished fourth and fifth respectively.

This is a proud moment for all of Canada.  Congratulations Alex!

Although the 2010 Vansterdam Olympics haven’t started yet, foreign media have noticed that Vansterdamians are tolerant when it comes to several things: animals, homosexuality and, of course, marijuana!
